Lucille Padgett, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2004 at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Padgett was born October 22, 1924, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late John and Nancy Jane Nasworthy Smith. She lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Padgett was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
Mrs. Padgett is survived by two sons: Herman Padgett of Dahlonega and Freddie Padgett of McRae; a stepson: Jimmy Padgett of Fitzgerald; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a special niece: Helen Davis of Fitzgerald and a special great niece: Pam Snipes of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jady M. Padgett.
