Obituary

Van Meter, Norman H. of Framingham died following a courageous battle with cancer on October 3, 2014. He will be sorely missed. Beloved husband of Barbara (Power) Van Meter.

Devoted father of Karen Mulhern and her husband James of Needham; Michael Van Meter and his wife Alisa of Livermore, CA; Gayle Reinholtz of Framingham. Loving grandfather of James Jr., Justin Mulhern, and Connor Van Meter. Brother of Delbert Van Meter of Racine, OH and the late Francis and Rev. Dale Van Meter. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Norman was a graduate of Boston University; mechanical engineer for A.V.C.O and Textron Defense Industries. Late Korean War Veteran, US Air Force, and member of the VFW Ashland Post. A special thanks to all who assisted with his care.

Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) Wellesley, Tuesday October 7, from 3-7 followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 7pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Private interment in MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
