James A.“Jim” Doss, 58 passed away October 3,2014 in Louisville, Ky.
Jim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a mortgage broker and car salesman before he became ill.
He was a past master of Lyndon Masonic Lodge #960, Member of Valley of Louisville Scottish Rite and Kosair Shrine Temple where he was with the Oriental Band and also The Hillbilly Clan #3.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen (Finnegan) Doss; his parents, James and Asenath Doss; his children, Chrystal Schank, Melanie Metcalf, James A. Doss, Jr. Asenath Hibbs and Kathleen Ammons (Clifton); one brother, Neil Doss. Also survived by nine grandchildren and six step- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Cordell.
Funeral services will be held Noon Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at The Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Monday October 6, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Charities.
