Joan C. (Tobin) Farrell of Natick passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She was seventy-five years old.
Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Halley) Tobin, she was raised in Waltham and attended St. Charles High School. Joan then attended Framingham State and Mass Bay School of Nursing and worked as an LPN.
She was a Natick resident since 1963 and a faithful member of St. Linus and St. Patrick’s Churches of Natick. Joan loved spending time with her family and singing.
She was the former wife of the late Edward L. Farrell, loving mother of Brian Farrell of Mansfield, Terrance Farrell of Natick, Timothy Farrell and his wife Leanne of Holliston, Brenda Farrell of Franklin, Maureen Alexander and her husband Scott of Bellingham and Joan E. Farrell of Natick.
Cherished grandmother of Shane Farrell, Emily Rowan and her husband Jon, Amy Jaffe and her husband Joel, Jared and Colin Emmons, Thomas Fisher, Ryan and Timothy, Jr. (TJ) Farrell, Michael, Matthew and Melissa Alexander and Jessica and Riley Farrell.
Great grandmother of five and caring sister of Kathleen Melanson and her husband George of Scituate and the late Ruth Kelley, Lawrence Tobin and Dorothy Moore. Special and dear friend Sandy Gouveia and her husband Ken of Waltham.
Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Tuesday, October 7th at 9:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
Visiting hours Monday from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Natick.
