John James Arend died peacefully at his Towson home after a long decline of health, on September 29th, at age 88. He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary (nee Ecker), beloved son Mark and wife Wendy, loving grandchildren Shea, Connie and Jack, niece Karen van Horn, and nephews Gary and Scott van Horn, and Dr. Anthony Arend. Dear brother of the late Dr. Paul Arend and wife Cora. Brother-in-law of the late Renee Ecker and Gail and Jeanne van Horn.
John decided and wishes were to donate his body for medical research, and requested a small, simple memorial service. In accordance with these wishes, a private memorial will be held in the springtime of 2015.
