Obituary

Jane Ann Enos, a lifelong resident of Provincetown, passed away at home on September 29th surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Clayton 'Mike Blue' Enos, she was 84.

Born July 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Rose (Joseph) Enos-Brown. She attended Provincetown High School where she met and then married her husband of 43 years. They had 5 children.

While raising her children, she owned and managed Brown's Cottages and the Shankpainter Motel. Jane was always recognized by her guests for her outstanding hospitality, and all this while raising her family. In addition to caring for her own children's needs, she was a thoughtful individual who helped friends, and donated both money and goods to organizations in need.

A world traveler, she was also the youngest member of a local sewing club for many years. She had a natural artistic ability and took pride in hand-crafting gifts for family and friends. Well known and very social, she was a regular at weddings, school functions and other events.

Most remember Jane for her wonderful sense of humor which was unique and colorful. She always left you with a smile on your face. A no-nonsense person, she was definitely one of a kind. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

A son, Michael F. Enos predeceased her. She is survived by Michael's wife, Susan Page and her husband Phil, along with grandchildren Devin and, Jency; her daughter Carolyn Enos and grandchildren Aaron and Adam; her daughter Judy Moore, with her husband Don and grandchildren Nathan and Patrick. Her son, Christopher Enos, his wife Lisa and grandchildren Michael, Eli and Leah; her son Stephen Enos and Lee Hudson with children Jenna, Becca and Jordon, as well as six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am, Thursday, October 16th in St Peter the Apostle Church, Prince St, Provincetown. A private burial will follow.
