Salem: Mr. Marino Jerez, 84 of Salem, died Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Belkis (Vasquez) Jerez with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.
Born in LaVega in the Dominican Republic on August 19, 1930 he moved to New York in 1966 where he worked as a cab driver. Mr. Jerez has been a resident of Salem for the past 30 years and was independent truck driver in the motor transport industry.
In addition to his wife Belkis, he is survived by his son, Ronald Jerez and his wife Jaimie Chen, as well as many extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
