Obituary

Rosemary A. (Fox) Harrity, 90, of Worcester, died Saturday, September 27th in the Golden Living Center. Her husband Raymond A. Harrity died in 1990. She is survived by two sons, David P. Harrity and his wife, Paula of Worcester and Raymond A. Harrity, Jr. and his wife Debra of Auburn; two daughters, Ann-Marie Harrity Ryan and her husband, Robert C. Ryan of Worcester and Elizabeth R. Harrity and her husband, Fariborz Rostami of Menlo Park , CA; six grandchildren, Timothy Harrity, Jamie Burke, Rory and Kayla Harrity, Madeleine and Darya Rostami; five great-grandchidren and 27 nephews and nieces; and her lifelong friend, Helen Trainor. Two brothers Henry F. Fox, Jr. and Edward W. Fox predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Henry F. and Rose E. (Gannon) Fox. Rosemary was a graduate of Commerce High School; then worked as a secretary for Kennedy’s Department Store, and later at the former Harrity Television both in Worcester. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed time spent with her family during the summer at Queen Lake and winters skiing in Vermont. Rosemary was an accomplished pianist who brought sunshine to any gathering. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament parish; and was an avid golfer and tennis player.

Her funeral is Thursday, October 2nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, October 1st from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
