Dennis H. Fontaine 65, formerly of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, September 24, in Brockton Hospital. He was the father of Jessica Fontaine of Brockton. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late George and Alice (Sweck) Fontaine.
Dennis was the owner and operator of the former Hamlet Diner in Woonsocket , and worked for the Brothers of The Sacred Heart for many years before retiring in 1992.
He was a compassionate and loving father, and a very caring person to all who knew him.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his step-daughter JoAnne DeTroia Fontaine, two grandchildren; Matthew Dalton, and Samantha Fontaine, and two brothers; George Fontaine Jr of Woonsocket, and Gerald Fontaine of FL. He was also the brother of the late Raymond and Ronald Fontaine.
A committal service will be held Thursday at 10:00AM in the Chapel of St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Rd, Bellingham.
