Obituary

Whitman – Joanne M. (Leveroni) Lunetta 82, a longtime resident of Boston and the South Shore area, died Saturday September 27 after a period of failing health.

Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Fall) Leveroni and had attended Boston schools.

Prior to her retirement and move to Florida, where she had resided for seven years, she had worked for over fifteen years at the Bank of New England.

As a resident of Whitman, Joanne had been an active member of the Whitman Baptist Church, and was an active volunteer in her communities of both Whitman and in Florida.

She was the mother of Donna Calabro and her husband Michael of Lakeville and the late Pamela Pizzuto, and the late John Lunetta, grandmother of Robert Skahan, Pamela DeBerry, Jessica Walker, Mary Fidler, Normajean Lunetta, John Lunetta, and Joanne Lunetta. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Louise Lunetta and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jacquelyn Vadala.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours to be held Wednesday October 1 from 6-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. By request of the family all other services are private.
