HOLDEN-Winifred M. (Foisy) Walker, affectionately known as "Winnie", formally from the Colony Apartments passed away peacefully at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester on September 4, 2014. She was 92 years old.
Winnie leaves her loving and devoted daughter, Charlene and her husband John "Richie" Agurkis of Sandwich formally of West Boylston. She also leaves her grandsons, Jeffrey Agurkis and his wife Elisabeth and Christopher Agurkis; her two great granddaughters, Kayla Agurkis and Haleigh Agurkis; her niece, Elizabeth DiStefano and her husband Matthew of Worcester. Her two brothers, Arthur and Edmond, four sisters, Beatrice, Cecilia with whom she lived with most of her life, Marguerite and Exilda predeceased her.
Winnie was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Giguere) Foisy. Winnie attended Worcester schools. She worked for U.S. Envelope Co., and later at National Envelope Co., both in Worcester for many years retiring in 1951.
Charlene would like to thank all the caring personal at the Jewish Healthcare Center and Hospice in Worcester. You are the "Best". The care you gave to my Mom was wonderful and the kindness you showed me was above and beyond, Thank you! I would also like to thank all her extended "Family" in the Colony Apartments in the "D" building you were her family too! I am very thankful she had all of you. You are all a wonderful gift that I will always cherish as my Mother did.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements are in the care of FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston.
