Richard J. Forde, Jr., 47, of Pembroke, NH died suddenly at Elliot Hospital on September 23, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.
He was born in Beverly, MA on June 29, 1967, the son of Richard Forde, Sr. and Marianne (Robinson) Cullins. He graduated from Pinkerton Academy.
In his life, Rick worked for Fairpoint Communications as a lineman, mobilizer & shop steward. He was a proud member of, and safety representative for, Fairpoint IBEW Local 2326 Union. Rick played poker with the guys in the neighborhood every Thursday, was a huge Patriots fan and enjoyed attending games and tailgating with friends. He was a very good cook, loved to grill and never needed a recipe to follow. He was famous for his chicken wings and marinated steak. Rick will be remembered as being very honest, extremely particular, really funny and having the best laugh. More so, he was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
His family includes his wife of 18 years, Joann (Corey) Forde of Pembroke, NH; two daughters, Megan and Emily Forde of Pembroke, NH; his mother of San Antonio, TX; his father of Windham, NH; one brother, Paul Forde of Boston, MA; two sisters, Marianne Roberts of Boston, MA and Patricia Forde-Holmes and husband Alan of Windham, NH; one step brother, Travis Cullins and wife Shelley of San Antonio, TX; one step sister, Samantha Cullins of San Antonio, TX; and his cousin Cynthia Robinson of Irving, TX.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: the Richard J. Forde Memorial Fund, c/o: TD Bank, 50 Glass Street, Pembroke, NH 03275.
