James R. Roule, age 71, passed away at home on Mon Sept 22, 2014. He was born on Aug 20, 1943 in Holyoke and was raised by his grandparents Raymond and Irene (Lamountain) Roule. Jim was a PFC in the Army and went to jungle warfare and Ranger school, serving from 1961 to 1964. After that Jim worked as a truck driver working for several companies over his career and also was an owner and operator for several of those years. He was an accomplished guitar musician who played in bands and for church services throughout his life. His other great passion was classic cars, as was evident of the 67 Camero's him and Sharon owned. They owned other classics over the years, but those where their keepers. He was predeceased by his Wife Sharon L. (Nailer) Roule on September 16, 2006. Jim leaves behind three3 Sons: James R. Roule, Jr & wife Misty Roule of Chicopee, Richard L. Roule & Wife Amy of Chicopee and Brian J. Roule and Fiancé Tiffany Thurston of Holyoke. He also leaves behind 8 Grandchildren: James Roule, III, Cassandra Roule, Dylan Roule, Felicia Lastra, Richard Roule, Jr., Riley Roule, Lilymae Roule, & Owen Thurston, and 3 Great Grandchildren Madalyn, Mya & Brock and also a dear friend Sandra Cardinal. Funeral Services with military honors will be held on Thursday Sept 25, 2014 at 10 AM at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA. Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
