Joseph Abbondanza passed away peacefully at the Lakes Region Hospital in Laconia. He was 53. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, he was the son of Michelina (Savino) and the late Antonio.
A resident of North Sutton and Franklin NH for many years, Joseph owned and operated his own excavating company. Joe enjoyed working with heavy equipment but he enjoyed people more. He was devoted to his wife and son and enjoyed happy times with family and friends.
The beloved husband of Annette (Sciucco) and loving father of Anthony Abbondanza of North Sutton, NH, he leaves his dear sisters Angela Noguiera, Rosa Evans, Joanna Hoey and Lisa Monterio. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday September 26th at 9 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Thursday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
