Clare B. Fussell, 83, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 11:00 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Fussell was born April 13, 1931, in Floresville, Texas the last of 11 children to the late Harry Earl and Lavonia Evers Goode. She had lived in the community since 1952. She was a caretaker and she sat with people in their homes. A very nurturing person, she enjoyed helping to raise her children and extended family. She was a member of Christian Fellowship, Inc.
She is survived by her children: Jimmy & Pat Price of Cross Plains, Tennessee, Michael Price of Fitzgerald, Sue Ellen & Andy Eget of North Royalton, Ohio, and Johnny & Sherry Price of Columbia, Tennessee; eight grandchildren: Lee Walker, Ellis Wayne Haynes, Joseph Haynes, Clarissa Haynes, Michelle Graham, Amy Joseph, Brandy Mixon, and Suzanne Howell; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandsons: Jason Price, Jesse Price and Jamie Price as well as 10 siblings.
