Obituary

In Taunton, September 22 Adolph “AJ” Ulak husband of the late Louise (Hathaway) Ulak died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 93. Born in Taunton, Adolph was the son of the late Martin and Jadwiga (Bartek) Ulak. Adolph was a graduate of Taunton High School and also attended Duke University and Wake Forest University while he was in the military. Adolph joined the US Army in 1944 to 1946 and then entered into the US Army Reserve for over twenty eight years. He was a member of the 320th Military Police in Taunton, 399th EVAC Hospital and the Grady Raiders. He was retired from the Dighton ICI American Inc. for over thirty eight years. He was the father of Collette Ulak of Taunton. Brother of the late Sophia Ulak, Caroline Karman, Martin Ulak, Frank Ulak, Anna Ledee, John Ulak, Catherine Cote, Rosalie Ulak and Adele Renaud. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton from 4-7 PM on Thursday, September 25th. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Rosary Church in Taunton on Friday at 9 AM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Adolph's memory may be made to Veteran’s Transitional House, Southeastern Housing Program, 20 Willis St, New Bedford, MA, 02740 or Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka, Kamas, 66675.
