Jewell "Judy" Savannah Elizabeth (Cash) Rider, 92, of Sarasota, Florida, died, Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Friends Fellowship Community in Richmond, Indiana. She was born April 23, 1922, in Carryville, Arkansas, to the late James A. Cash and Elmora Jane (Powell) Cash. She graduated from Piggott Arkansas High School and attended Anderson College, Anderson, Indiana.
Judy married Warren M. Rider on January 16, 1944, in Anderson, Indiana. After 65 years of marriage, Judy was predeceased by Warren in 2010. Judy was predeceased by her brothers Claiborne, Robert, Amos, and William Cash, and sister Pauline (Cash) Brown.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Shanron) Rider, Richmond, IN, Larry (Sue) Rider, Noblesville, IN; Randall (Karen) Rider, Bronson, MI; Rebecca Rider, Sarasota, FL; Robert (Ilona) Rider, Fort Wayne, IN; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
After her marriage to Warren, they lived in Anderson, IN, Tuscola, Ill, Huntington, IN, Richmond, IN and Sarasota, Florida. She was very active in her local Methodist Churches and in activities that supported her children and communities. She and Warren loved to travel, visited all 50 states and traveled around the world.
She loved nature and felt most at home while on Crescent Beach, Siesta Key, Florida.
There will be a graveside service for family at East Maplewood Cemetery, in Anderson, Indiana.
