Gilford----Shirley Frances Faller, 88, formerly long time resident of Cherry Valley Road, Gilford, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith.
Mrs. Faller was born March 16, 1926 in Laconia New Hampshire and was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region. She was the daughter of late Charles and Erma (Buzzell) Colby. Shirley was a homemaker and an active member of the Gilford Community Church and has been singing in the church choir since 1957 until late 2013.
Survivors include her two sons, Eric and his wife Judith Faller of Northfield, and Brian Faller of Gilford; a sister, Virginia Theberge of Gilford, formerly long time resident of Sanbornton; three grandchildren, Marc Faller of FL, Daniel and his wife Andrea Faller of Laconia, and Gregory and his wife Mia Faller of Gilmanton; nine great-grandchildren, Jazmine Faller, Tekoa Faller, Amber Faller, Loran Faller, Emma Faller, Laurali Faller, John Faller, Delia Cormier and Felicity Hounsell and four nephews. In addition to her parents and her sister Marjorie Jacques, Shirley was also predeceased by her beloved husband John G. Faller Jr. in 2003.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 23 , 2014 from 5pm to 8pm in the Carriage House of Wilkinson-Beane Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia N.H.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford N.H.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Gilford at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in her memory to The Gilford Community Church Chancel Choir, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford N.H. 03249.
