LIMINGTON- Rebecca “Becky” M. Quimby, age 69, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2014 at her home in Limington.
She was born in Portland on Feb. 5, 1945, a daughter of the late Lorimer and Avis (Conant) Herrick.
Becky attended grammar school in Portland and graduated from Portland High School.
She worked at several places over the years including the Hanold Co., GE in Standish, Fresh Samantha, and most recently was working as an elder care provider.
Becky was an avid outdoors enthusiast and especially enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, gardening, and camping. She will also be remembered for the enjoyment she had playing cards and living life to it's fullest with friends and family.
Becky volunteered at Preble Street Resources in Portland.
She is predeceased by her brothers- Roland, Duane Sr., and Stephen Herrick.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years- Steve Quimby; sister- Dee Parvin of Las Vegas, NV; step children- Steven Quimby of Gray, Adam Quimby of Old Orchard Beach; and Tammy Quimby of Raymond; and a step grandchild- Parker Quimby.
Becky's family would like to thank her many family members and dear friends who were there for support.
A graveside service will be held Friday evening, July 4, at 5 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery, Plains Road in Hollis.
