Bobby Gene Franklin, 55, of Ty Ty died Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014, at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Cook County where Mr. Franklin will be laid to rest. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2014, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Benny White, Tony White, Ernest White, Keith Franklin, Steven Franklin and Bryan Franklin will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Franklin was born on June 30, 1959 in Cook County and was the son of the late Morris Franklin, Sr. and Nellie Williams Franklin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Andy Franklin. He was a member of Ellenton Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams Franklin of Ty Ty; one son, James Franklin of Ty Ty; two brothers, Johnn Wayne Franklin of Omega and Ricky Lee Franklin of Ty Ty; and two sisters, Debra Lowery of Ellenton and Patricia Flippo of Poulan.
