Al was also the owner operator of the Three Cheers Restaurant in Boston from 1982 to 2006, and was a partner in the DeCosta Sausage Co. of Woburn for many years. Al even worked as a successful real estate developer and was the owner of the Andover Heights Development Co. for several years.
Al was a senior life member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co of MA and proudly served as the Captain Commanding from 1999-2000. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Indian Ridge Golf Club in Andover and also enjoyed raising and showing Arabian Horses. Al loved to travel and was fortunate enough to travel the world over, however nothing gave him more joy than his family.
