Obituary

NATICK: Michael Christopher Donahue, age 21, a lifelong Natick resident and sports enthusiast, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. He was the much-loved son of Kevin M. and Mary Ann (Saporetti) Donahue.

A 2011 graduate of Natick High School, Michael was a proud member of the Redmen Varsity Hockey Team, having honed his skills over many years with the Natick Comets. After hockey season, he enjoyed the comradery and competitive edge he shared with fellow teammates on the Redmen Varsity Lacrosse Team. In years past, Mike had also played Little League Baseball and with the Natick Soccer club.

Michael enjoyed caring for the family lawn from a young age, and never lost his affinity for yard work. For the past several years he was employed as a landscaper in the MetroWest area, played hockey when he could, and remained an ardent Bruins fan.

Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ribello and Mary (Moretti) Saporetti, he is survived by his parents, sister Kayla Elizabeth Donahue, and brother Patrick Ribello Donahue, all of Natick; his paternal grandparents, John L. and Patricia A. (Urlass) Donahue of Natick; his Godparents, Mark and Elizabeth Donahue of Natick; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

His funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Monday, September 22nd at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours will be in the on Sunday 3:00 – 7:00PM.
