Marlborough: Barclay M Wadas, 44, passed away on September 12, 2014 of renal failure due to diabetes. She was born May 21, 1970 in Princeton, New Jersey, daughter of Susan and Roy H. Minton. Barclay grew up in Rocky Hill and Skillman NJ where she developed a skill for horsemanship and flying airplanes. She graduated Montgomery High School. She married Frank in October 1995. She obtained her BA in English with a teaching certification at Montclair State College in 1997. Frank and Barclay moved to Marlborough, MA in 2000. Barclay was proud of her three beautiful daughters, Emily, Quinn and Paige. Barclay enjoyed coaching her daughters in soccer. "Barc" had a wonderful artistic ability, cherished her antique Vespa,and loved the family kitties.
In addition to her husband and three daughters, she is survived by her mother and stepfather, Susan and Martin McDonald of Eastham MA, her sister, Whitney Vickrey of Arlington VA, her brother Craig Minton and his wife, Barbara of Fairlawn NJ, her sister, Tracy Minton of FL , and her nieces Victoria and Becky.
At her request, her body was donated to UMass Medical School.There will be a meet and greet at 10:30 followed by a memorial mass at 11 AM on Sat. Sept. 20 at St. Matthias Church 409 Hemenway St. Marlborough, MA. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in her name to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Memorials, 1701 N Beuregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
