Joan T. Harrington
of Tewksbury
TEWKSBURY: Joan T. Harrington, age 61, a Tewksbury resident for 42 years, passed away at the Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus, following an extended illness on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
Born in Somerville on October 6, 1952, she was the daughter of Theresa M. (Potter) Harrington, who survives her, of Tewksbury and the late Francis J. Harrington.
Joan was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Chris M. Harrington of Tewksbury; her grandson, Evan M. Harrington; seven siblings, Theresa M. Swallow and her husband James of Douglas, Francis J. Harrington, Jr. of Sanford, FL, James E. Harrington and his wife Karen of Brockton, John J. Harrington of Peabody, Maryann Bogannam and her husband Ken of Tewksbury, Gail A. Harrington of Greenfield, and Mark T. Harrington and his wife Sandra of Billerica; also many nieces and nephews.
Joan was the sister of the late Paul F. Harrington.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Funeral Mass on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m., at the Holy Family Church, 75 Chamberlain St., Lowell. Interment to follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
