Annie Laura James Dixon, 74, of Bowdon died Saturday, September 13, 2014, in Bowdon. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Pastor Ronny Vice officiating. Mrs. Dixon will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Dixon was born on July 8, 1940 in Anderson City and was the daughter of Robert James and Annie Kay Knight Johnson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Dixon, who died in 2004. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by one son, Allen Wayne Croft of Sumner; two daughters, Rose Marie Fincher of Tifton and Irene Janice Rudeseal of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two brothers, William "Billy" Johnson of Moultrie and Wayne Johnson of Moultrie; one sister, Shirley Mitchell of Bowdon; and six grandchildren, Kimberly Monvill, Richard Payne, Shawn Allen Croft, Dewayne Kimbrell, Michelle Johnson and Drew White.
