Lois Jane (Linginfelter) Laymon, 90, of Anderson died at her residence September 12, 2014 after an extended illness.
She was born July 9, 1924 in Connersville, Indiana to Isaac Robert and Martha (Cartwright) Linginfelter.
She was a serial Librarian 24 years at the Anderson Public Library before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the First Friends Church; Delta Theta Tau Sorority and the Albany P.T. A.
She loved sports especially Cincinnati Reds baseball and she was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ray Malcolm Laymon of Anderson whom she married July 21, 1943; three children, Kurt W. (Linda) Laymon of Albany; Mary B. (Earl) Wittrock of Alexandria, KY; Phil L. Laymon of Salem, Oregon; six grandchildren, Garry Laymon; Mike Laymon; Kathy Molen; Randy Baker; Terri Shea and Debi Barnett; ten great grandchildren, Alex Molen; Austin Molen; Iain Laymon; Garron Laymon; Kameron Laymon; Michael McCreary; Toby Shea; Tai Shea; Danica Baker and Mitchell Barnett; sister-in-law, Ruby Linginfelter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Robert and Martha Linginfelter and two brothers, Ronald Linginfelter and Bob Linginfelter.
Services will be noon on Tuesday, September 16, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with David Steinke officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin, Indiana.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 am until the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice in Indianapolis.
