Chester P. Reed, age 82, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
Chet was survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Helen (Currie) Reed, his children Brian Kerrigan of Sandwich and Denise Herlihy and her husband Daniel of Whitman and his grandsons, Daniel and Nolan Herlihy and Nicholas Kerrigan. He also leaves his 4 brothers, Father Albert Reed of Ohio and Richard, Patrick and Edward Reed all of York, PA.
Chester was born in Gettysburg, PA and grew up in York, PA. After High School he served his country in the Navy then moved to Boston to go to and graduate from Northeastern University in 1958 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 30 years. Chet has lived in Weymouth since 1972.
Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday, September 15 from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Funeral Service will be private.
