Mr. Robert Edward Walsh, of Medford, formerly of Revere and Roslindale, passed away peacefully at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford after a long courageous battle with cancer. He leaves the love of his life and former spouse, Lucille Anne DeSisto, He was 59 years old.
He was the son of the late William E. and Helen A. (Kenny) Walsh. Mr. Walsh was a Driver for Boston Sand & Gravel. He was a member of the local Teamsters 25. Robert was a Beatles enthusiast, visited Liverpool and London on his honeymoon and attended several Beatles conventions with Lucille. Robert enjoyed doing home renovations and decorating. He was awarded a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music on talent alone. Robert also had a special love for animals. He and Lucille had traveled to the South West many times, enjoyed Native American Arts and went to many powwow’s. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his brothers; William Walsh of Stoneham, John Walsh of Billerica, one niece several nephews, many wonderful cousins and best friend, Pierre Spy of West Roxbury. A private burial was held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New England, Inc. P.O.
