Obituary

MASHPEE: Kenneth P. Dangelo, age 64, a Newton native and 18-year resident of Mashpee, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, after a three-year battle against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Born, raised and educated in Newton, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Grace (O’Mara) Dangelo. Ken served 40 years in the Massachusetts Air National Guard with the 267th Combat Communications Squadron in Wellesley and at Otis ANGB. Passionate about landscaping throughout his life, Ken also loved woodworking and repairing anything broken.

He is survived by his former wife, Janice Rines Dangelo of Newton; their three children, Kevin Dangelo and his wife Kristin of Framingham, Kerri Dangelo Sirafos and her husband Socrates of Natick, and Keith Dangelo and his wife Jennifer of Natick; six grandchildren, Caiden and Gwenyth Dangelo, Cole, Harleigh, and Brent Sirafos, and Bailey Dangelo; his longtime partner, Lorrie Moran of Mashpee; and his sister Elaine Lotti and her family of Florida. Ken was predeceased by his sister Judith Dangelo.

Visiting hours will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Thursday, September 11th from 4 – 7P.M.

His Committal Service with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Friday, September 12th at 9:15AM.
