Ernest O. Harewood, Sr., 75, of New Bedford died Wednesday September 3, 2014 suddenly at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born and raised in Cambridge, he lived in New Bedford for the past 33 years.
Mr. Harewood was formerly employed as a construction inspector for the MBTA until his retirement.
He was a member of the Carpenter's Union.
He is survived by his children, Carol A. Harewood of Dorchester and Ernest Harewood, Jr. of Lynn; his siblings, Paul Keeling, Patricia Gill, and Joyce Milton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was the father of the late Kim A. Harewood.
