Juan E. Torres Jr. 69, of Roberta Ave., died September 3, 2014 at the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Lydia (Quiles) Torres whom he married in Rio Piedras, Peurto Rico, February of 1967. Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Juan Estabon and Matilda (Gomez) Torres. Juan was an air conditioning and refrigeration technician for over forty years and worked for Sears in Providence, White Westinghouse and K Air in Connecticut. He was an active member of the Iglesia DeDios Pentecostal MI Church in Woonsocket.
Juan is survived by a son Alan Torres of Wallingford, CT; a daughter Diamela Belisle of Woonsocket; three brothers Eduardo Torres, Raphael Torres, and Carlos Torres all of CT; three grandchildren Erica, Kyle and Keith Perkins, Jasmine and Matthew Torres, and one great-grandchild Kaiden Robitaille. He was also the father of the late Felix Torres, and brother of the late Pedro Luis Torres.
A funeral service with visitation will be held Saturday starting at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in North Smithfield.
