Obituary

Janette (Crowley) Gagnon, 55 of Salem, passed away peacefully with her husband Gerald at her side in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Sunday, September 7, 2014 after a courageous year and a half long fight against lung cancer.

A lifelong Salem resident, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Eleanor (Dzierzanowski) Crowley. She graduated from Salem High School and was currently employed at AH Shephard Associates of Reading and was a former employee at Parker Brothers in Salem.

Janette enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots as well as catching the best Broadway shows that ran in Boston. She loved her hobby of jewelry making and an occasional trip to Foxwoods for a lucky chance on the slots. Her greatest joy was spoiling her children and grandchildren.

Janette is survived by Gerald her husband of 32 years, her son Andrew Gagnon and his wife Sarah of Danvers, her daughter, Stacey Gagnon of Salem, Her niece, Cheryl Farrer of Salem, her sister Linda Makonis of Newton, NH, Her brothers, John Crowley of Lynn, Ron Crowley of Las Vegas, NV, her two grandchildren, Caden Castro and Arielle Kelly both of Salem, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Judy Farrer and brother Stephen Crowley.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [ Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass at !0:00 A.M. in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
