ATKINS, M. Frances of West Roxbury formerly of Dedham and Hyde Park, Sept. 7, 2014. Age. 101. Resident of the Deutsches Altenheim, German Center, West Roxbury. Frances was born in the Roxbury District of Boston on Aug. 24, 1913 to David and Mary (Sullivan) Atkins.
Beloved sister of the late D. William Atkins. Frances spent her entire professional career as a City of Boston science teacher.
Frances is survived by her nephew Gerald P. Atkins Sr., and his wife Maureen of Needham, and her grandnephews David, Gerald, Jr., Jonathan, and Daniel Atkins all of Needham. All of whom she was very devoted to. Also survived by her dear friends Ms. Marion Toomey and Ms. Rita Rettman and many cousins.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home 456 High St. DEDHAM Tuesday at 9:30am. Funeral Mass in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St. Islington, at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to the Funeral Mass from 8:30-9:30am. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
