Edwina Brock Wright, 94, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitley Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Wright was born August 19, 1920, in Carroll County, Georgia, to the late Henry Y. & Estelle Deese Brock. She lived in the community for almost 80 years and was a homemaker. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed crafts and especially painting. Mrs. Wright was a faithful member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church and one of the oldest living members of the congregation.
She is survived by two daughters: Dean & Ronald Giddens of Ocilla and Joyce Pate of Fitzgerald; a son: Talmadge Wright, Jr. & Mary Clyde of Ocilla; grandchildren: Sherry & Dwight Werner of Sunman, Indiana, Chris & Michele Pate of Fitzgerald, Rhonda & Jimmy Dasher of Vidalia, Cindy & Jay Kirkland of Martinez, Andy & Tammy Wright of Wray, Eric & Mary Jo Wright of Ocilla and Anita & Walt Dasher of Glennville; eleven great-grandchildren: Blake, Zach and Nicholas Dasher, Trey and Jayce Kirkland, Mary Tallee and Andrew Wright, Mackenzie and Kelby Werner, Emma and Malaree Dasher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Talmadge Felton Wright; a son-in-law: Dalton Pate; three brothers and four sisters.
