Arthur G. Roderick, III, 71 of Beverly, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Arthur was born in Salem to Arthur G. and Charlotte (Boyd) Roderick. He was raised and educated in Salem, and proudly served in the U.S. Army, as a young man serving in Korea. In his early years he worked alongside his father in the family business, Roderick’s Taxi and Moving Companies, and for many years worked at Hood Molded Foam. He was a member of the American Legion Club of Beverly.
He is survived by his three sons, Arthur, Robert and Glen and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters and their spouses, Nancy and James Devine, Sally and Joseph Provencher, Charlotte and Anthony Bucco as well as three generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Jean Theriault, Shirley Lee and David Roderick.
