Ralph H. Austin, a 24 year resident of Malden and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, September 1, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was 70 years old.
Ralph was born in Charlestown on February 13, 1944, a son of the late Al Austin and Margaret (Lent) Austin. Ralph grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1963. Ralph worked as a Service Manager for a Law Firm in Boston for over 20 years. Ralph was a former member of The First Baptist Church in Charlestown.
Ralph is the beloved brother of Janet McCarthy of Charlestown, and the late Ed Austin, Bob Austin, Joe Austin, Margie Turner, Marion Gray, and Ruth Austin. Ralph is also survived by three loving and caring nieces; Linda Turner of Everett, Donna Jean Healy of Wakefield, and Lisa Faletra of Stoneham, as well as several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ralph's visiting hours from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M followed by his Funeral Service at 11 A.M. on Friday, September 5, 2014 in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
