Obituary

David Lee Duncan, 70, of Jeffersontown passed away September 1, 2014 at Baptist Health.

He was a native of Greenville KY, and was retired from General Electric after 37 years as a tool and die maker and a tooling engineer. He was the Central US Regional Counselor for the IOF Forester and a member of AMA, NRA, HOG, a Kentucky Colonel and vice president of IAM Local 2409.

Survived by his wife of 51 years Elberta (nee Sanders) Duncan; children, David “Tony” Duncan (Becky), Dan Duncan (Michele), Jim “Red” Duncan (Gail Pike), Kathy Allen (John) and Gary R. Sanders; grandchildren, David, Andrea, Aaron, Austin, Tommy, Jessica, Mark and Heather; great-grandchildren, Braylen and David Lee; Brother, Mike Duncan (Barbara); sisters, Diane Stanfield (Louis) and Phyllis Smith; two best friends Terry Scarborough and Don Jefferson; and his crazy, loving dog Gabby. David was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Vilora.

Visitation will be held from 11 am to 6 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. – with the service to follow at 6:00 pm.

David’s family would like to extend our heart-felt thanks to the staff on Park Towers 3 at Baptist Health. We can never thank you enough for the wonderful care that you gave David and us.
