FALL RIVER…James E. Froughton, Jr., 52, of Fall River passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at his home.
He was the fiancé of Dawn Correia of Fall River, whom he had been with for 28 years.
Born in Middleboro, he was a son of Joan (Bowman) Garib and her husband Paul of Wareham and the late James E. Froughton, Sr.
Mr. Froughton was a veteran of the United States Navy and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing his Xbox and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his fiancée and mother, survivors include two daughters: Shealy Froughton of New Bedford and Nikki Janelle and her husband Jonathan of Fall River, a step-son: John Correia of North Carolina, two brothers: John Froughton of Cape Cod and Justin Froughton of New Bedford, a sister: Jacqueline Cambra of Fairhaven, brother-in-law: Jimmy Pardee, two grandchildren: Brandon and Alexis, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, September 2 at 6:45 PM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jim’s family.
