Colleen M. King-Smith, a lifelong Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home in Charlestown. She was 43 years old.
Colleen was born in Cambridge on January 18, 1971, a daughter of Peter S. King and Maureen (Davis) King. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1991. Colleen was a homemaker where she took pride taking care of her husband and sons.
Colleen is the adored wife of 11 years to Jason J. Smith. She is the loving mother of Cameron P. Smith and Jason A. Smith. She is the beloved daughter of Peter S. King and his wife Nancy and the late Maureen (Davis) King. She is the beloved sister of Maryellen Gil, Maureen King-Donovan, PattiAnn King-Mayo and KellyJean King. She is the beloved daughter-in-law of Bill and Minnie Smith. She is the beloved sister-in-law of Billy Smith, Tina Smith and Chuckie Smith. she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Colleen's Funeral Mass on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
