Lorenzo “Larry” Iacovello, age 73, passed away August 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Quincy, Lorenzo was the youngest of 13 children and lived a full life in Braintree for 46 years with his devoted wife of 54 years, Donna. His main passion was his family including his wife and daughters: Lori married to Anthony Rapuano of Canterbury, CT. Lisa Pearson, his son Michael Iacovello, and his cherished granddaughter Jamie Nicole Pearson, all from Braintree, they were the joy of his life. He is also survived by siblings, Rose Lowe Barney, Loretta Beaudoin and Paul Richard Iacovello and predeceased by Josephine DiTullio, Carmella Luciani, Margaret Plapis, Michael Iacovello, Vincent Iacovello, Mario Iacovelli, Virginia Hart, Dorothy Rice and Robert Iacovello. Additionally he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lorenzo worked for many years in the food service industry and at Harvard Vanguard Braintree where he will be remembered for his warm personality and making people laugh.
Lorenzo was a master of many things. He was an accomplished chef and talented gardener who generously shared his gifts to those he called his friends. He enjoyed every aspect of life, from golf to fishing and he loved the feeling of getting a great bargain. He was the neighbor everyone turned to for his guidance and support. He will be missed by his many friends at the American Legion.
As Lorenzo enjoyed his many visits from friends and family during his life, visiting hours have been omitted; there will be no services upon request of the family.
