English, Charles B. (Buddy) Jan. 22, 1937 – August 5, 2014 passed peacefully at Presentation Manor in Brighton, MA. Son of the late Charles B. and Rita A. English. Former husband of the late Jean(D’Andrea) of Watertown and Jan English of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Father of Mark English and his wife Geri, Laurie Lentini and her husband Sal, Lisa Keuchikarian and her husband Kaz and Maria Coppola and her husband Emilio. Brother of Richard A. English and his wife Sarah of Franklin, TN. and Elizabeth English of Clearwater, FL. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Buddy was born in Medford and lived most of his life in Watertown. He attended Watertown High School where he was an exceptional athlete. He was captain of Watertown’s football and hockey teams.
Buddy was the Sales Manager at Foreign Motors in Belmont. He also worked at Copley Plaza in Boston and Woodland Country Club, Tamarac, FL. for several years. Buddy lived for many years in Fort Lauderdale, FL. before moving back to Watertown. He was VP of Operations in the family water business Mass Bay Commuter Service “ The Gracious Lady “ that operated the Hingham to Boston commuter service in the early 1980’s. Loving thanks to our family friend, Darci Cardarelli and her family. Her devoted care and concern for Buddy’s wellbeing was the epitome of what family is all about. Our loving thanks to Rita Donahue, who was a loving friend in his last years in Watertown. We also want to thank all of his friends at 100 Warren Street, Watertown. Rick and Elizabeth(Beth) will carry out Buddy’s final wishes. Services are private. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
