LAS VEGAS, NV: Sheila M. (Millard) Anderson, 80, formerly of Beverly, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at her home in Las Vegas. She was the beloved wife of Larry T. Anderson.
Born in Bedford, England on May 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Clara (Brockett) Millard. She had resided in Beverly for over forty years before moving to Las Vegas in 2003.
Sheila was employed in the food service department of the Beverly Public School System for many years before her retirement in 2003. She was an avid reader and loved playing bingo. She was also a member of the Red Hat’s Club in Las Vegas.
In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, she is survived by three sons, Thomas Anderson and his wife, Jennifer of Poway, CA, John Anderson of Temecula, CA and Robert Anderson of Billerica; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Anderson of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren, Bradley, Adam, Chad, Brianna, Emily and Taylor Anderson; a sister, Irene Scott of Bedford, England and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Laurence Anderson.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
