Laconia-----John David Edgerton, 55, of 171 Oak Street, passed away at Lakes Region General Hospital on Friday, August 22, 2014.
Mr. Edgerton was born November 15, 1958 in South Amboy, New Jersey, the son of John H. and Dolores (Barnes) Edgerton. He resided in Lakewood, New Jersey for many years before moving to Laconia. He served in the U. S. Army from March 1981 to April 1982.
Mr. Edgerton was a self-employed carpenter and was also employed by Mastercraft Construction for a number of years.
Mr. Edgerton loved woodworking. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.
Survivors include a daughter, Amber Lawrence, of New York; two grandchildren, Taralyn Edgerton and Nathaniel Lawrence, both of New York; his mother, Dolores Edgerton, of Florida; four sisters, Deborah Gregory of New York, Donna Bousquet of New Jersey, Diane Nakonechny of Pennsylvania and Dawn Calley of New Hampshire; two nieces and four nephews. He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Heather, and his father, John H. Edgerton.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 2:30PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H.
