Joseph A. Torrice, 51, of Haverhill, MA, died Sunday August 24, 2014 at his home in Haverhill. He was born in Woburn, MA on September 22,1962, son of the late John and Theresa (Soave) Torrice, Sr. He had been a resident of Haverhill for the past 18 years, formerly living in Woburn. He was employed as the Sr. Director of Facilities for Skyworks Solutions, Inc. where he had been a dedicated employee for 34 years. He enjoyed golfing and playing hockey, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his daughters.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Susan (Cedrone) Torrice of Haverhill; three daughters, Abby Rose Torrice, Sara Theresa Torrice, and Amy Rice Miele; his grandson, Anthony Miele, Jr.; one brother, John Torrice Jr.; two sisters, Jacqui Duffy, and Jeannine Curro; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, August 27th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Joseph Torrice may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in support of Gastric Cancer Research.
