Alice (Macedo) Howard, 85, of New Bedford died August 22, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late William A. Howard.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Charles and Isabel A. (Almeida) Macedo, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Survivors include a son, George Ferro, Jr. of Milo, ME; a daughter, Arlene Arruda and her husband Wayne of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Wayne Arruda, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville, FL and Alison Gibbons and her husband James of Westwood, MA; and a great-grandson, Harrison Gibbons.
She was the mother of the late Anthony Ferro and the sister of the late Louis Macedo, Charles Macedo and Leo Macedo.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Wednesday, August 27th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, August 26th from 4-8 PM.
