Matthew F. Rielly, 43, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, August 23, 2014. He was the son of Cynthia J. (Arruda) Rielly of Westport and the late William J. Rielly, Sr.
Born in New Bedford, he had been a lifelong resident of Westport. For the past 16 years, Matthew worked for Sylvan’s Nursery in Westport. He was an avid wrestling fan, enjoyed listening to music and was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
The Rielly Family wishes to thank Sylvan Nursery and A&E Metals for their love and support for Matthew during this difficult time.
Survivors along with his mother include his 6 brothers: Michael P. Rielly of Lakeville, Sean A. Rielly and William J. Rielly, Jr., both of New Bedford, Thomas A. Rielly, Timothy J. Rielly and Patrick K. Rielly, all of Westport.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. from the Potter Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
