Gezim Kulla, 63, of Leicester died Friday, August 22nd at home surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Valentina (Metani) Kulla; a son, Amarildo Kulla and his wife, Kelly with whom he lived; a daughter, Ariola Tsonis and her husband, Erion of Sweden; two brothers, Subi Kulla and his wife, Olimpiada of Worcester and Krenar Kulla and his wife, Jorgjije of Albania; a sister in law, Merceta Kulla of Worcester; four grandchildren, Izabella, Joseph and Benjamin Kulla and Michael Tsonis; several nieces, nephews and great nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Kastriot and Ferdi Kulla and a nephew, Gentian Kulla.
He was born in Albania the son of Seit and Vezvie (Guga) Kulla and came to the United States in 2009 with the dream of becoming a United States citizen. Gezim was a hard worker who was full of life. He loved being outdoors and travelling. Gezim leaves family and friends around the world as he made real connections with everyone he met. His grandchildren shined light and joy into his every day.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, August 26th from 5:00 until 6:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester followed by a service at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to the VNA Care Network and Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
