Holden- Sophie J. (Toboika) Koskie, 92, formerly of 462 Bailey Rd., died Tuesday, Nov. 23, in Oakdale Nursing Home, West Boylston.
Her husband, Stephen A. Koskie Sr., died in 1981. She leaves a sister, Mary A. Toboika of Worcester; a brother, Henry Toboyko of Auburn; a daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Koski of Holden; 3 grandsons in California; several great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her son, Steven A. Koski Jr., of Holden, died in 2001. Her daughter, Eleanor Lucia, of California, died in 1997. Three brothers, Sigmond Toboika, Louis Toboyko, and Stanley Toboika, also predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanislaw and Anna (Fiorkowska) Toboika and lived there, before moving to Barre, where she lived for 20 years. She later lived in Holden for many years. She attended Commerce High School.
Mrs. Koskie was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, Worcester. She enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
