Sharon Merrill

...owner of “A Touch Of Crafts;” 53

TEWKSBURY - Sharon (Kenney) Merrill, 53, the owner of a Whipple Road craft shop, diedWednesday afternoon at her home after a courageous battle with emphysema. She was the wifeof Robert T. Merrill, with whom she had celebrated a 29th anniversary this past Feb. 17th.

She was born in Melrose, a daughter of Arlene (Nickerson)Maxfield of Tewksbury and John Kenney of Hendersonville, N.C. She was raised in Tewksbury and graduated T.M.H.S. with the Class of1966.

She was a “country artist,” who’s talents in quilting, painting, woodworking, furniture making,and crafting crystalized when she opened “A Touch Of Crafts” gift, collectibles, and craft shop onWhipple road more than a decade ago.

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, BridgetMerrill of Tewksbury and Heather and her husband Ryan Crowley of Lawrence, two brothers anda sister-in-law, Barry Kenney of Essex Junction, VT, and James and his wife Joanne (Wood)Kenney of Tewksbury, several nieces and nephews, and numerous dear friends.

Her Funeral Service was held Tuesday, April 2, in the Tewksbury Congregational Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Memorials to the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Rd.Burlington, MA 01805will be appreciated.
