Mrs. Ilva (Ghiloni) Valeri, a resident of Andover since 1990, formerly of Malden and beloved wife of Ardenio Nino Valeri, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Thursday, August 21, 2014. She was 72 years old.
Born in Italy on October 22, 1941, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mario and Paulina (Luparini) Ghiloni. In her spare time, Ilva truly loved her time down the cape where she spent her past 42 summers. Most of all, Ilva was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always putting her family needs before her own. She took great pride in watching her children and grandchildren's achievements. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her loving husband, Ardenio, she is survived by her loving children; Emidio Valeri of Andover, Angela Valeri of Andover, Dan and his wife Robin Valeri of Bedford, New Hampshire and Carlo and his wife Janice Valeri of Lakeville, devoted brother; George and his wife Evelyn Ghiloni of Andover and cherished grandchildren; Jacqueline, Nicholas, Jake, Michael, Alicia, Brina and Colby.
Her funeral will be celebrated in St. Augustine's Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. The family will receive visitors in the church, prior to the mass, at 9:30 AM. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
